Hello, ssup? So I really need to work on my consistency but past few months kept me busy in crazy shopping! If you guys have been following me on Instagram, Snapchat.. you must be knowing it was my sister’s wedding in February and here I’m with all the looks I wore in all the ceremonies!!
So, weddings comes with a lot of parties ofcourse and the one huge one is a cocktail party!!! Here’s what I wore for it .
Outfit Details :
Jumpsuit – Kazo, Silver Hoops – Hill Road, Bandra.
I went with a black sequin jumpsuit because let’s be clear black is always the first and the last option and I found this outfit perfect for the occasion! Adding up with silver hoops to keep it minimal.
Starting with the wedding functions I had kept a theme for all of my outfits – Pearls. So I had something either the fabric work or accessories paired up of pearls. Check it out!
Lehnga – Self designed.
Shoes – Zara.
So, this is what I wore for Sangeet ceremony. I wanted something chic and not much of typical lehengas. So I got flared sleeves and pearls (of course) on my top and for lehenga I picked up a Banarasi brocade print not so bright, just how I like it and with pockets.
Now I’m the girl who loves pairing sneakers with lehengas and I actually don’t find it funny. Here it is what I paired up my sangeet outfit with :
But that’s me! •_• (who else?)
I have something for Royal lehengas and this one was another level. I got it from Jaipur and the work is handmade which has pearls stitched all over the fabric (which is a plus), makes it so heavy (look plus weight wise!!) but I had to get it.
Shopping for lehengas in budget was not so easy for me because I wasn’t going to settle for those typical ones and loud colours are just not my thing. I was looking for something in beige or ivory with not so traditional work. The moment I tried this one I knew this was it. For this one I let the fabric do the talking!!
As I’m not so much into jewellery I kept it again minimalistic with just the white tassel earrings and a delicate maang tika.
Being a marwadi wedding it wasn’t easy for me to roam without jewellery, but I made it! 😀
Lehenga – Rana’s (Jaipur).
Coming to the final event – Reception which is the most formal event in an Indian wedding. I wanted some subtle colour for it. After black, grey is the one I would go for!
This overlapping off shoulder with layered lehenga won my heart, it is such a beautiful and chic piece. No wonder I got tons of compliments for this one!! Paired up with silver hoops for not so traditional look and to keep up with the theme I added pearls on my messy bun. Checkout the pictures below.
Lehenga – Preeti design studio (Malad, Mumbai)
Hoops – Clubfactory.
